Holiness
We believe God favors leaders whose love and devotion for Him and His Kingdom are undistractable. We understand that softness toward sin has no place among the fellowship of spiritual leaders. We encourage, invite and expect a grace-filled hatred of sin.
In a large house there are articles not only of gold and silver, but also of wood and clay; some are for noble purposes and some for ignoble. If a man cleanses himself from the latter, he will be an instrument for noble purposes, made holy, useful to the Master and prepared to do any good work.
2 Timothy 2:20-21
Hunger
We believe God favors leaders who are passionate for Him and His Kingdom. We understand that casualness and lukewarmness are enemies to high impact spiritual leadership. We fight to maintain a healthy hunger to know God and see His Kingdom prevail on earth.
“My food,” said Jesus, “is to do the will of him who sent me and to finish his work. Do you not say, ‘Four months more and then the harvest’? I tell you, open your eyes and look at the fields! They are ripe for harvest.
John 4:34-35
Humility
We believe God uses leaders who are motivated first by Him and His Kingdom. We understand that pride and self centeredness negate every positive quality in a leader. We seek to serve God and His people without thought for self and without need for self promotion.
Jesus called them together and said, “You know that the rulers of the Gentiles lord it over them, and their high officials exercise authority over them. Not so with you. Instead, whoever wants to become great among you must be your servant, and whoever wants to be first must be your slave– just as the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many.”
Matthew 20:25-28
