Puzzled By The Bible
The Bible can be like a puzzle. We may be familiar with some of the pieces – stories, verses, characters – but many of us haven’t seen “the big picture.” We don’t know how it all fits together, so we’re confused about what to do with all of the little pieces. In this series we’ll be looking at The Big Picture of God’s story, as revealed through the Bible.
The END
The end is here! Well, the end of our seven-week “Puzzled by the Bible” series, anyway. The END will put an end to the lies of Satan, bringing us back to where we started: with God and man – now redeemed through the sacrifice of Jesus – together in Paradise.
All New
When we die to our own will, we’re alive to the will and purposes of God. He makes all things new! Here are three key All-New’s for followers of Christ:
- All NEW Community
- All NEW Code
- All NEW Calling
Possible
This week, God broke 400 years of silence when He sent Jesus – His Son, the Messiah, God in human flesh – to fulfill the process for us to be made holy. Through Jesus, God took three things that were impossible for man and turned them into “Possibles”.
Impossible
Three Impossibles of the Bible:
- It’s IMPOSSIBLE for Satan to be Made Holy
- It’s IMPOSSIBLE for GOD to be Made Unholy
- It’s IMPOSSIBLE to be Made Holy without the Shedding of Blood
Never
It’s Week 3 of our “Puzzled by the Bible” series, and we’re climbing the left side of the triangle that illustrates the five major movements of the Old Testament. They’re mirrored on the right side of the triangle in the New Testament.
Twice The Life
This week, we see the roots of redemption as God extends his mercy toward man, beginning in Genesis 12. Looking at the “puzzle pieces” Bible overview illustration on the next page, you can see that this week we’re on the 5th piece, near the top on the left side of the triangle: God established the 12 Tribes of Israel as God’s Holy People.
