God is the author of life (Acts 3:15). And even before you were conceived, God thought of you (Jeremiah 1:5). Even in the womb, your life mattered (Psalm 139:13-14) because all human life is precious to God (Matthew 6:26). The value of life is so high to God that he would sacrifice Jesus to give everyone the opportunity for eternal life with him (John 3:16). We value what God values, so we value life at every stage (Genesis 1:27). This includes what happens before a baby is born and what happens after someone dies. In other words, we not only care about life on earth, but we also care about where people spend eternity. It’s why we pray that every life that is conceived lives a full life on earth, and is transformed by Jesus, and then experiences eternal life in heaven with Him.
At the same time, we acknowledge that the Supreme Court decision is going to have a heavy impact on many in our community. The responsibility of carrying a life and raising a child is significant. For some it’s filled with joy and expectation, for others it’s filled with worry and fear. So, we want to come alongside everyone facing these feelings and obstacles. We are with you. And for years we have been working with many long-term partners in our area that come alongside those facing these challenges. These partners, like Obria and Home of Hope, help with counseling, prenatal care, housing, potential adoption, and even post-abortion care. We at 12Stone support every life, at every step of the way. And we want to extend an invitation to walk alongside you, wherever you are on life’s journey.
