Dads Have To Define What Is A Good Life
June 26, 2016
Parenting has joys, but it is also very tough! One thing a loving dad does for their kids all through life is define, redefine, and defend the good life.
What is the Good life?
The world tells our kids and grandkids that we are an accident, that there is no God and that science has proven the theory of species evolution as fact!
Which of course is false; but if you tell a falsehood enough times, people actually start to believe it.
What the books don’t say is that evolution has always been & is a mere theory, it has never gained scientific evidence to move it from theory to fact. The existence of this universe, this earth supporting life and human life itself all evolving out of nothingness from simple to huge complexity (all accidentally without the hand of a creator) defies science.
The debate is not “Science vs. Faith”. The real debate is: Does science point to evolution by accident or does science point to creation by our creator? I don’t have enough faith for the weak theories of species evolution.
This world keeps telling us in media, education, songs, videos, and movies that we are animals without purpose, that we are done at death. So therefore the good life is in self-indulgence and doing the very things God calls sin… that truth is whatever you want it to be – so let the icons of popular culture be your moral guide. Worship pleasure, power, money, intellect, popularity.. because the one with the most attention from social media wins.
Jesus interrupted this world and told us what the good life is – that God is creator of all creation, and that his Kingdom is eternal we were created by Him and for Him. We have eternal purpose and purpose on Earth. Jesus came to let us know that there is awakening to the original and real good life!
