Day 21: God’s Will is to Answer
September 30, 2018
“I tell you, ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives, and the one who seeks finds, and to the one who knocks it will be opened.” – Luke 11:9–10 (ESV)
When we are praying, we should never feel as if we are twisting God’s arm or overcoming God’s reluctance to help us. It is God’s will to answer our prayers. Remember that God is a Father who wants to listen to and answer His children.
Prayer is simple. It is supernatural, a mysterious moral working of the Holy Spirit, but it is not logical. To anyone not related to our Lord Jesus Christ, prayer looks foolish, seeking someone who is unseen. However, we know that He hears us. It definitely requires faith to pray.
It has been said that no man, no matter how great his intellect, is greater than his prayer life. God longs to revive our prayer life. God longs to pour out the Holy Spirit inside of us in such a supernatural way that we want to run to Him every day and be with Him in prayer, to praise Him and to worship Him. God longs to have that intimate fellowship with us.
