We are excited to partner with you as you guide your elementary students in their faith! Below, you will find details about the lesson we learned this week and a helpful activity to reinforce the lesson at home.
Bible Story: Peter Healed a Beggar
In today’s story we learned that after Jesus returned to heaven, the Holy Spirit gave the disciples power to begin working. With the power of Jesus’ name, Peter healed a man who was lame. Not even the religious leaders could stop Jesus’ followers from sharing the good news about Jesus. When we trust in Jesus, the same Holy Spirit that worked through Jesus’ followers lives and works in us.

Memory Verse: Philippians 2:13
“For it is God who works in you to will and to act in order to fulfill his good purpose”
Home Activity: Love Like Disciples
In the Bible story today, your child learned that Peter met someone’s physical need and was then able to share about Jesus. Ask your child to think of someone he or she knows—maybe a friend, neighbor, or family member—with a physical need that God could use him or her to meet. Encourage your child to pray with you for that person, and think of ways that together you can show that person you care. Perhaps this act of kindness will open an opportunity to share with that person about Jesus!
