We are excited to partner with you as you guide your elementary students in their faith! Below, you will find details about the lesson we learned this week and a helpful activity to reinforce the lesson at home.
Bible Story: Jesus and the Doubter
In this Bible story, Thomas wanted proof of Jesus’ resurrection, so Jesus showed His hands and side to Thomas. Some things about God are a mystery to us. Some things we do not see, but we can trust in Him by faith. Read more in John 20:24-29.
Memory Verse: 1 Corinthians 15:3-4
“For what I received I passed on to you as of first importance: that Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures, that he was buried, that he was raised on the third day according to Scriptures”
Home Activity: That’s a Good Question!
Everybody has questions about God and faith, but sometimes people are afraid to admit it. As a family, openly discuss some of the questions each of you have. Have everyone write one question on a scrap of paper, and put the paper in a hat or box. Each person can then draw one question out of the box/hat. Together, share your thoughts, and affirm your child that sharing his or her questions is good! End this time together by asking God to help all of you with your questions and to trust Him more.
