Through our new partnership with Medical Missions Ministries, team members have an opportunity to journey to the beautiful country of Guatemala to show the love of Christ.
Medical Missions Ministries was started in 1987 by Hermann Alb and his wife, Linda, to spread the gospel and plant churches through medical care to the rural poor in Guatemala. Beginning with only an old Toyota Corolla and a handful of medicines, God has blessed this ministry richly.
Today, over 35 short-term teams from U.S. churches and faith-based organizations arrive in Guatemala to assist in approximately 100 medical clinics across the remote areas of Guatemala every year. Each team is comprised of individuals who have answered God’s call to minister in Guatemala for this one week. Team members can expect to assist in the 4 different facets of the medical clinics, and no medical training is necessary for this trip. The 4 facets of ministry are:
A typical week is comprised of a multi-cultural worship service on Sunday, 4 clinics Monday through Thursday and a Market Day on Friday before departure on Saturday.

Guatemala, located in Central America, is home to both famous and beautiful places! One of the most widely known and greatest tourist draws is the Tikal Temple, the capital of the ancient Mayan civilization. Tourism is one of the main drivers of the Guatemalan economy as shown by 63% of the GDP comes from the service sector. Guatemala is also well known for its natural beauty including beaches, rain forests, mangrove forests, lush mountains, beautiful volcanoes, and breath taking lakes such as Lake Atitlan. While Guatemala is beautiful and the economy is growing, still over half its 16 million inhabitants live below the poverty line.
