This specially crafted trip provides a unique opportunity to impact and develop the legacy of Christian men across generations in a rural Kenyan community. Your team of Joshua’s Men leaders have been implemented into a long-term strategy to influence future leaders for Kingdom purposes. During this trip, your team will spend time investing in the community of Segera. You will have the opportunity to do men’s ministry, leadership development activities through the local church, and spend a “Day in the Life” of a Kenyan family. These first few days will give great relational framework and cultural context for the second half of your trip. You will then be a part of a conference for about 40-60 pastors, community leaders, and other influential men from the community you just invested in. You may have opportunities to speak to large groups, lead table discussions, or have one-on-one time pouring into these men. Topics will be chosen by areas of greatest need as identified by a key group Kenyan 410 Bridge staff. Specific topics will vary but cover things such as how to lead in the image of Christ, how to win as men in Kingdom advancement, and what does it mean to be a Christian man, father, and husband.

While being one of the stronger countries in East Africa, nearly half Kenya’s 43 million people live below the poverty line or are unable to meet their daily nutritional requirements. Poverty and food insecurity are acute in the country’s arid and semi-arid lands, which have been severely affected by recurrent droughts. Easily curable and preventable sickness have run rampant in rural communities for generations.
