The Secret to a Merry Christmas “good life”? (Join Jesus)

  1. Yoke up for His pardon.
  2. Learn to live good in secret

Everyone Can Come Home To God

When the people of His time were confused about who Jesus was, He told a story (a parable) to help the people understand. The story of the prodigal son can be found in Luke 15, and it parallels our modern-day story and relationship with God. Just like the prodigal son, we left home (sinned and dismissed God). We got lost (ended up feeling empty and spiritually starved).  And also just like the prodigal son, we can always come home to our Father!

“But while he was still a long way off, his father saw him and was filled with compassion for him; he ran to his son, threw his arms around him and kissed him.” – Luke 15:20

Jesus Came to Change Our Hearts

Classic Christmas stories are retold every year and revered by millions. We celebrate the heart-change of Ebenezer Scrooge, George Bailey, and the Grinch. But what if true heart-change was possible for you? It’s the real reason Jesus came at Christmas – to change our hearts and our lives, and to restore our relationship with our Heavenly Father.

“I’ll give you a new heart, put a new spirit in you. I’ll remove the stone heart from your body and replace it with a heart that’s God-willed, not self-willed. I’ll put my Spirit in you.”

Ezekiel 36:26-27 (MSG)

Joy Of Christmas

  • Joy to the world the Lord is come
  • Let earth receive her King
  • Let every heart prepare him room

But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us

Romans 5:8

When we violate God’s principles for life, marriage, morals, money, relationships, business & when we play god in our life – we mess up life as God designed it & life breaks down.

The joy of Christmas is knowing that Jesus came in the midst of our sin not to get even, but to forgive us.

Scripture: Matthew 2:1-2

Christmas Conviction: An intentionally Jesus-centered, others-focused life is a “More & Better Life than you ever dreamed of.”

Learn the unforced rhythms of grace. I won’t lay anything heavy or ill-fitting on you. Keep company with me and you’ll learn to live freely and lightly.” (Matthew 11:28; MSG)
