C. Norwood Davis serves as Chief Financial Officer at 12Stone® Church in Lawrenceville, Georgia. Named the 2010 Fastest Growing Church in the U.S. and the 16th Largest Church in 2015 by Outreach Magazine, 12Stone® Church (with nine locations) serves more than 18,000 adults and children weekly with its unique worship and teaching styles. In addition, 12Stone partners with local and global non-profit agencies to offer hope and help among the poor, sick, homeless, addicted, immigrants and prisoners.
As Chief Financial Officer, Norwood leads the finance, human resources, information technology, marketing, facilities and legal initiatives for 12Stone® Church.
Norwood has significant executive and board experience with non-profit and philanthropic . Currently, he serves as board chair for Street Grace, an Atlanta based organization combating the commercial sexual exploitation of children. Norwood also serves as a Trustee of the Georgia Gwinnett College Foundation. He also serves as Treasurer and as a Board member of the Gwinnett Chamber of Commerce. He serves on the Board of Directors of Gwinnett Medical Center, a two hospital authority system, and serves as Chair of its Audit & Compliance Committee. He also serves on the Board of The John Maxwell Company, a privately held leadership development company. Past board roles have included Relevate, Chestnut Mountain Ranch, Bethany Church in Weddington, NC, the Environmental Markets Association, and the Citadel Alumni Association. He also served on the board of World Hope International from 2009 through 2012, an international faith based relief and development organization headquartered in Washington, DC. A 2006 graduate of the Gwinnett Neighborhood Leadership Initiative and a 2009 graduate of Leadership Gwinnett, Norwood is active in Gwinnett County issues and served with Engage Gwinnett, a citizens committee to review the budget of Gwinnett County and deliver recommendations to the County Commission. In 2012, Norwood completed the Director’s College at the Terry College of Business, University of Georgia. In June 2012, Norwood was recognized as a finalist for the Atlanta Business Chronicle’s CFO of the Year in the Community Service category.
Prior to his current role with 12Stone® Church, he spent 12 years in a variety of executive roles with Duke Energy, a Fortune 500 global energy company and 15 months as a senior executive with a privately held firm in Gwinnett County. Norwood graduated with honors from The Citadel with a degree in Civil Engineering in 1991. He earned his Masters of Business Administration from The Babcock School of Management at Wake Forest University. Norwood and his wife, Aerah, live with their 2 children in Lawrenceville, Georgia.
