What People Say About 12Stone

Our family couldn’t be happier to have found 12Stone. We moved from Washington State and we’re convinced we couldn’t find a church we loved as much as the one we left. 12Stone instantly makes you feel like you’re home. Their values fit ours 100%, our son loves the middle school group, they have resources for married couples and a ton of small groups to choose from. They also don’t feel like a mega church, which we love. Thanks 12Stone!

What’s Happening at Braselton

Matt Lewis

Meet the Braselton Campus Pastor

I'm Matt Lewis, campus pastor at 12Stone Braselton. My wife Lisa and I have three kids, Lucy, Josh, and Sarah. Our road to 12Stone Braselton began 13 years ago when Lisa was part of the 12Stone Residency program. We left 12Stone for California, and after six years serving a church in San Francisco, we felt God calling us back to Georgia to figure out what was next. He led us right back to 12Stone. We live in this community, our kids are growing up here, and we love being part of what God is doing here.

When I'm not at church, I'm cooking (and eating), playing pickleball when my knee cooperates, adventuring with my family, or playing guitar. I’m also a big football fan and played high school football in Florida. My senior year, we headed into the state semifinals undefeated. The only thing between us and the championship was a 6'3", 220-pound quarterback named Tim Tebow. With Urban Meyer pacing the sideline. If you're going to lose to somebody, I guess he was a decent choice.

What I'm most passionate about is helping people find their people. So many of us walk through life alone, but God has a better vision, one where we're deeply connected and doing life together. The Bible calls the church a family, and that's exactly how I experience 12Stone Braselton. The verse that anchors me is Romans 8:1-2, "Therefore, there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus, because through Christ Jesus the law of the Spirit who gives life has set you free from the law of sin and death." In Christ, there's no condemnation. We're free.

When you visit, know this: no perfect people allowed. Bring your mess, your struggle, your need. No dress code, no assigned seating, no payment required — just grace. We would love to have you.
