Holy Forever

Today’s Bible Reading:

Day and night they never stop saying: “Holy, holy, holy is the Lord God Almighty,” who was, and is, and is to come.

Revelation 4:8

Reflection:

There is a worship that began long before us and will continue long after us. It’s an eternal chorus around the throne, declaring the holiness of God without interruption or end. When we sing Holy Forever, we’re stepping into a song that heaven has never stopped singing.

A thousand generations falling down in worship

To sing the song of ages to the Lamb

This song reminds us that worship is bigger than a moment or a mood. It’s a joining with saints who have gone before us, believers across the world today, and angels who never grow tired of the glory of Jesus. His name stands above every power, every throne, every position.

Your Name is the highest

Your Name is the greatest

Your Name stands above them all

And yet this eternal, cosmic worship should become deeply personal for us. Only the forgiven can sing from the place of redemption. Only those Jesus has set free can lift this line with confidence:

If you’ve been forgiven and if you’ve been redeemed

Sing the song forever to the Lamb

Worship isn’t about performance. It’s about participation. When we sing the word “holy,” we’re agreeing with heaven, aligning with truth, and reminding our own hearts who God really is. The more clearly we see His holiness, the more naturally our worship rises.

Practice:

Find a quiet moment today and whisper the word “holy” to Jesus. Let that single word draw your attention upward. Picture yourself joining the worship of heaven. See angels, generations, and the people of God all lifting the same eternal song.
