First Time At 12Stone?
Please plan to arrive 15 to 20 minutes before the service starts. When you arrive, look for the area designated New Family Registration. We will greet your family there and register your child for the appropriate environment.
After you are registered, you and your child will be given matching security tags that are unique to your family and your visit. Your child will need to wear the nametag portion of your matching security tags, which bears a code that is matched to your portion during checkout at the end of the service. During checkout, you will return to your child’s room and show your tag in order for your child to be released back to you.
In K12, small groups begin in our Preschool environments and continue all the way through our Elementary experience.
During small group time, kids have a chance to dig deeper into the Bible story with friends of the same age and enjoy activities and discussion designed to enhance learning. Our small group leaders are committed to serving weekly in order to know your child personally. Our goal is for our small group leaders to build trust with your children so that authentic faith conversations can happen. We want your kids to view their small groups as their families.
During Preschool small group, kids explore how to take what they learned from the Bible story and apply those values to their own lives. Small groups begin with a basic review of the Bible story, and kids love the chance to show their leader what they remember from the story!
Each lesson has a “Bottom Line” that we want kids to walk away knowing, and your child’s small group leaders will emphasize this point with all of them. In addition, kids get to share their own personal thoughts related to the story during reflection time and brainstorm ways they can live out the lesson themselves.
Finally, each small group time ends in prayer where kids thank Jesus and ask Him to help them live out this lesson during the week. Through small groups, kids are learning about their faith and forming lasting relationships with their trusted small group leader and each other!
During the elementary years, kids need positive older role models who can share their faith, and small group leaders help fill this need. Small groups participate in activities and discussion that will help kids form relationships with their small group leaders and each other. As kids age, they can process faith questions together in these groups.
Each small group time begins with social activities that get kids talking and sharing while introducing the theme for the lesson. As the lesson progresses, kids will do activities together that help review the Bible story or memory verse. Each small group time also contains activities that end with discussion questions, allowing kids to think through what they have learned and how they could apply this lesson practically to their lives.
Finally, all small groups end in a time of prayer. Kids learn that Jesus cares about them and wants to hear from them. In small groups, kids are learning the practices that will help them live out a life of faith.
