What Happens At Winter Retreat?
Winter Retreat is a great opportunity for students to dig deeper in their faith. Over the weekend students will attend multiple large group sessions that include worship music, biblical teaching, fun, and laughter. Students will also spend time in small group environments with their peers and adult leaders where they will have conversations about what they are learning over the weekend. The retreat also includes time for students to reflect, read, pray, and enjoy the fun amenities at the camp with their friends.

Medications can be checked in to nurse with the required medication form signed by a parent. ALL medications (prescription and non-prescription drugs) must be in the original container labeled with the patient’s full name, the date the prescription was filled, expiration date, direction for use, precautions (if any), storage requirements (if any), dispensing pharmacy (name and address), and name of physician prescribing medication. Students will be given instructions at Winter Retreat for receiving their meds. Individuals that may need emergency medications should carry the medications themselves (epi-pens, inhalers). When necessary, staff may be assigned to carry the medication; however, care will be taken to ensure that the patient and medication remain in close proximity to facilitate immediate administration. There will be nursing staff on campus to dispense medi-cation and provide first aid. All Students are required to have Health Insurance.
Please make sure all allergies are listed on the required medication and allergy form. In the case of food allergies, email highschool@12stone.com or middleschool@12stone.com, with your student’s name, grade, 12Stone® campus they attend, and any food allergies they may have requiring special dietary needs. 12Stone® staff will contact you and forward the information to the venue kitchen staff.
All adults leaders are background checked. Additionally, the adults who go on our retreats are the same adults that work with our students week in and week out. They go through an application process before they can serve. We bring 1 adult per every 8 students on the retreat. There are always at least two adults in every room when students are present (for accountability sake).
All meals are provided. Students can bring cash or card for the Snack Shack, Café, or Gift Shop. Paintball is also available during free time at $10 per game (cash only).
