We are created in the image of God with and for a purpose. Your natural passions are part of you for a reason, and God’s design is for you to use them! Discovering your purpose isn’t just what you do for work or as a hobby, it’s how you grow God’s Kingdom. It can be your natural ability or desire to build or create, talk to people, or sense someone else’s emotions. Each gift you have is used as an opportunity to share the love of Jesus or pour into the lives of those around you.
Each gift you have—we’ll call them spiritual gifts from here—is given to you uniquely. You’ll have different or similar gifts to those around you, but your gifts are always complementary to God’s plan. 1 Corinthians 12: 4-6 tell us more about our gifts and how they’re used:
There are different kinds of gifts, but the same Spirit distributes them. There are different kinds of service, but the same Lord. There are different kinds of working, but in all of them and in everyone it is the same God at work.

It may only take a few moments of reflection to uncover what your spiritual gifts are—maybe you already use them in your daily life or people often compliment your gift!
