Everybody Can Know God

Everybody Can Know God

For what can be known about God is plain to them, because God has shown it to them. For his invisible attributes, namely, his eternal power and divine nature, have been clearly perceived, ever since the creation of the world, in the things that have been made. So they are without excuse.

– Romans chapter 1:verses 19-20

The Bible tells us that we were created in the image of God and that He wants to have a deep and personal relationship with us. A relationship with God isn’t to just know about Him, it’s knowing who He is! It’s similar to any relationship we have in life. The only difference is God already knows everything about you, so it’s time for you to intentionally know God. The journey might sound intimidating, but we promise it’s worth it! The most important piece to know about this journey is that it takes years to grow into your relationship with God. There’s no quick trick to knowing God, and your yes is the starting point.

It’s amazing that a holy God desires a relationship with us! And there is absolutely nothing that compares with knowing God. Outside of a relationship with Him, we try to find fulfillment through other relationships, material possessions, success, etc. – all in an effort to feel complete. So, when we say yes to God, we start to see how our desires are uniquely met with Him. Because of that, a relationship with God doesn’t look exactly the same for everyone. Some people may connect with God and see Him most plainly in nature, alone in a quiet room, or during a Sunday service. It’s worth reflecting on where you feel most at peace with and connected to God as you begin your journey of knowing Him.

As your journey begins, we encourage you to attend one of our campuses regularly and make it your Church home. Showing up to worship and hearing a teaching is a great way to create a rhythm of connecting with God and your new church family. Remember, to Know God is the foundation of building a lifelong relationship with Him.
